THE MINIMALISM GAME: Why We Started (and Why It Works)

Today, February 28, we completed the first round of the 30-Day Minimalism Game inspired by The Minimalists.
If you’re not familiar with it, the concept is beautifully simple:
On Day 1, you declutter one item.
On Day 2, two items.
On Day 3, three items…
All the way to Day 30.
By the end of the month, you’ve released hundreds of things.
What We Noticed
Every single person who participated reported feeling lighter, clearer, and genuinely proud.
And here’s the honest truth:
If it weren’t for accountability, none of us would have made it to the end.
There’s something powerful about knowing someone else is also choosing to let go each day. When motivation dips (and it does), community carries you through.
Minimalism isn’t just about stuff.
It’s about energy.
Space.
Clarity.
Breathing room.
What’s Next: March = Digital Declutter
Now I’m ready for the next level.
March is going to be about digital decluttering:
Computer files
Phone photos & apps
Email inboxes
Digital subscriptions
Cloud chaos
Because let’s be honest — sometimes the heaviest clutter isn’t in our closets… it’s in our devices.
If you’d like to play the March Digital Minimalism Game with me, let me know. Accountability makes all the difference — and I’d love to do this together.
Who’s in? 💛
